I feel like I have found balance for the first time in my life, through my relationship with my wife, Michelle.  This body of work reflects conversations we have had, concepts about our relationship, and the journey of our lives.

The paintings are not about me and my family in particular, but more of universal truths and shared experiences.  Finding balance is something I always need to focus on: Work and play, travel and home, responsibilities and adventure.  The Balance series explores this concept metaphorically with light and dark, graffiti and realism, pop art and surrealism, and other themes that can cause a juxtaposition of thought and have fun in the process of telling a story.
